What is different about the Compensation IQ salary benchmarking software?
Uniquely, the Compensation IQ platform provides access to more than one source of salary benchmarking data and covers over 10 million companies as a result. We have self-reported data, job postings data and salary survey data provided by Mercer.
Each type of data has its own strengths and weaknesses. You will be able to compare each source of data against your dynamic benchmark and judge for yourself what the differences are.
What is the BIMA salary benchmark?
The BIMA benchmarks will be salary data aggregated and anonymised by the Compensation IQ salary software platform, from the BIMA member network. It has been developed in partnership with BIMA to help you – as members – find highly relevant and accurate salary benchmarks that are very relevant and contextual to your company size, the job locations and more.
How are the dynamic BIMA benchmarks constructed?
Using secure connections to each members’ HR platform, the Compensation IQ product takes snapshots of all the actual HR data from each member company. We then anonymise the data and calculate a relevant, high-quality salary benchmark for common job roles in the community. This is then provided back to each member through the Compensation IQ platform.
I don’t have one of the available HRIS integrations, can I participate?
Yes! During onboarding we’ll work with you on how to import or upload your HR data into the platform.
Can I access the benchmarks without providing any data to you?
Unfortunately not. The benchmarks are provided on the basis of equal participation. This is not only fair to your fellow members, but also allows for the best benchmarks and extends the benefit of the benchmarks to the whole group.
I’m concerned about connecting my data to anyone. What are my options?
We appreciate this may be a concern for many. Compensation IQ has been in the industry since 2015 and has worked with highly sensitive data across many industries, locations and types of organisation. Compensation IQ is GDPR compliant, Cyber Essentials certified and SOC 2 compliant and follows the highest standards when it comes to your data.
When will the BIMA dynamic salary benchmarks be available to the members?
As soon as there are a sufficient number of participating member companies (and associated data), we’ll have enough information to aggregate and share back the salary benchmarks. We’ll keep the community updated as to estimated timelines.
Do I have to wait for the BIMA benchmarks in order to access salary benchmarking data?
No. As part of signing up to Compensation IQ, you’ll be able to access our standard dataset which has salary information for over 7 million organisations globally. You can easily filter to company size, location and industry to find the information you need.
How is Compensation IQ related to BIMA?
We have partnered with BIMA to provide the software platform directly to BIMA members to collect data, construct the benchmarks and make them available to all the members.
When you participate, each member will contract directly with Compensation IQ so that they can access the salary benchmarking data.
How does pricing work?
Pricing is based on organisation size (so headcount) and number of countries and is for an annual subscription.
We’ve created a special starter package for the BIMA community that includes 2 datasets: the Compensation IQ self-reported data with over 7million companies and the BIMA community benchmark.
Our standard subscription pricing starts at £1,500 per year for smaller organisations. However, we are offering an exclusive, special first year introductory offer of 60% discount to BIMA members that includes the essentials Compensation IQ salary benchmark data and the BIMA salary benchmark. This special offer starts from £600 per year.

What are your different packages?
How long can I access Compensation IQ for?
It’s an annual subscription and you can access and search the salary benchmarking data an unlimited number of times in the year.
I’m not a BIMA member, can I sign up to the Compensation IQ platform?
Yes. However as you are not a part of the BIMA community, you won’t be eligible for the BIMA discount and you won’t be able to see the BIMA community salary benchmarking information.
How do I become a BIMA member?
Simply visit the BIMA website here and they’’ll help you join the community so you can access the salary benchmarking, powered by Compensation IQ.
